TWO 10 YEAR OLD CHILDREN ARRESTED AND RELEASED AFTER 30 MINUTES
At 5pm a military jeep (611032) and Hummer (765830) stopped in front of the municipality building of Aboud. Two 10 year old boys who had been arrested 30 minutes before were inside the jeep (611032). There were two soldiers in the jeep with the children, two other soldiers stood on the street, and the officer of the jeep stood in front of the municipality.

Update from Aboud 19th-25th January 2005
19th January
At 3.00 p.m. soldiers closed the checkpoint in Atara and the people of Aboud were forced to come to the village through Ni’lin. Many of the people from Aboud were stopped at the Atara checkpoint for hours.
At 4.00 p.m. the “Khalamish gate� was closed, forcing the cars traveling to Beit Rima to take a longer route through Aboud.

We walked through the village, towards the direction of the settlement. At around 16:00 we heard a loud explosion coming from behind the settlement, followed by some smoke. At 16:30 an IDF jeep and a hummer came from the direction of J’s house, crossed the village and passed in the front of the clinic, then exited the area via the main road.

Update Tuwani 30th December 2004 – 03th January 2005

Children patrolling: 7:30 a.m. Eight children, one IDF jeep, 3 soldiers walking .
At 8 a.m. Luca, Adriano and CPT volunteer have seen in Tuwani that work for the roads and the school have been begun.
The lessons finished at 11:30 a.m. but no police and IDF were present to escort the children. Luca phoned to OCHA, but nobody answer. Also CPT volunteer made some phone calls.
After one hour and half the children took the long way in order to return to Tuba, without escort. OD and CPT accompanied them for approximately ten minute.
